The newest Hi-Fi JET adds high-speed printing modes
"HS-PHOTO (1440 dpi)", "HS-SUPER (720 dpi)" and "FINE2" (540 dpi) with the same outstanding quality you've come to expect from the Hi-Fi JET. HS-PHOTO prints in only
52 min/sqm (12 sqft/hr) at the quality that the PHOTO mode prints in 77 min/sqm (8 sqft/hr). HS-SUPER prints in only 26 min/sqm (25 sqft/hr) at the quality that the SUPER mode prints in 38 min/sqm (17 sqft/hr). The FINE2 gives richer images than the FINE mode at the same print speed while using 6 passes instead of only 4. (24 min/sqm, 27 sqft/hr).
* The maximum printing width is reduced by 50mm (2") in HS-SUPER or HS-PHOTO mode.

* The graph is based on the time in the bi-direction mode. (Single direction mode is also available.)
* It is possible to obtain even higher quality when printing in the PHOTO or SUPER mode than in the HS-PHOTO or HS-SUPER mode.

Two interchangeable six-color ink sets for smooth gradations and vivid colors

Roland's pigmented inks feature an enhanced color gamut and strong resistance to fading. In addition to 1440 dpi ultra-high resolution, the Hi-Fi JET offers six colors instead of four. The high-fidelity ink set adds light cyan and light magenta to produce subtle color gradations, delicate pastels and natural skin colors. The Hi-Fi JET can also print using orange and green inks to provide a remarkably expanded color gamut. The Hi-Fi JET is also certified for PANTONE® Hexachrome® printing technology and capable of matching over 97% of solid PANTONE® colors.

New designs for easy operation

New push button front panel makes operation easy.	Translucent media flange allows viewing of the remaining media.	Clean, mess-free ink cartridge system. Easy to change in one simple step.	Media is secured with a single lever.

Roland COLORCHOICE® Every Hi-Fi JET comes with Roland COLORCHOICE®, a true Adobe® PostScript®3™ multi-platform software RIP. So you can print directly from a variety of popular software including Adobe®Photoshop®, Adobe®Illustrator®, Adobe®PageMaker®, CorelDRAW™, QuarkXPress™ etc. on Windows® 95/98, Windows NT® and Mac OS. COLORCHOICE includes optimized ICC profiles for various combinations of Roland certified media, inks, and output resolutions.
