Cutting-Edge Technology / Unmatched Reliability / Easy to Use
The Sign Shop Workhorse
Roland's reliable, easy-to-use CAMM-1 desktop vinyl cutters are the No. 1 choice of signmaking professionals worldwide. And, now, performance is even better with the new CX-24/12 models.Cutting-Edge Performance
Signmaking professionals demand the latest technology. The CX-24/12 delivers cutting-edge performance with an advanced curve-smoothing function to cut circles and curves faster than ever with higher precision. Resulting throughput is an average of 10%(1) faster than previous models. The test-cut function allows you to check the machine's down force before actual cutting to get exactly the cut you want. Blade-offset values can be adjusted manually for optimum results for a wide range of vinyl and specialty substrates including sandblast(2).
You can store up to 8 settings of regularly used blade and media combinations, so you don't have to repeatedly recalculate. Every CX-24/12 comes with a precise cutting blade that gives you control over everything from illustrations to letters, while the optional small-lettering blade offers sharp, high-quality small type and intricate designs. With an optional water-based fiber tipped pen, you can even check how finished jobs will turn out even before cutting.
The CX-24/12 delivers the quality, performance and reliability that maintain Roland's leadership in signmaking.(1) In a comparison test conducted by Roland DG Corporation, thirteen different designs were cut by CX-24 and by CM-24. Results depend on image design and layout.
(2) CX-24/12 cuts sandblast up to 1.00 mm (0.0394 inch) thickness with the optional ZEC-U1715 blade.
Easy-to-Use
The CX-24/12 uses a new, large jog dial and LCD display. Setting menus is much faster and easier than before. The control panel and sheet set lever have been relocated closer together and a new cutter knife groove on the apron makes manual cutting simple. A sheet roller base(3) is attached to every CX-24 to keep media straight during feeding and new guide lines make it easy to check that media is properly aligned.A Windows driver(4) comes with the CX-24/12, so you can output directly from vector-based design software(5) just like any desktop printer. CX-24/12 utilizes a replot function, allowing you to input data once and repeatedly output it without having to send it again from the computer. Thanks to a built-in 1 MB buffer, the CAMM-1 reduces computer time and ensures that operations run smoothly.
